Wrestling Basics: Stance, positioning, pressure, agility.
Mat Safety: Body awareness; How to fall, roll, and protect themselves
Character & Focus: Practicing listening skills, sportsmanship, and respect for partners.
Having Fun: Building community through sport and play.

What to expect…

Personalized technique, instruction, and guidance from a certified coach.

Sharpen skills with teammates that are similar age and size - Coaches are very intentional with groupings and pairings. Sometimes we have to be flexible, but we make every effort to create a comfortable environment.

The ultimate goal is for these kids to build community and make friends through the sport of wrestling. We focus heavily on listening skills, respect, and building a positive team culture where kids support one another.

We keep practices moving fast with warm-ups, agility drills, basic techniques, and games to keep them focused and burning energy.

Research shows that wrestlers achieve outsized success in business due to their capacity for extreme discipline. Accomplished athletes are highly sought after by corporate organizations, and literature specifically highlights the sport’s connection to leadership, emotional intelligence, and accountability. We are lucky to have 3 College wrestling programs a short drive away. One of the BEST Division 1 programs in the country at Stanford University that boasts a top 6 Team finish at last years NCAA championships, the highest finish in their programs history… and they are right in our backyard!
San Francisco St has been a consistent presence on the NCAA Division 2 National scene since the 1950’s! With the growth and development of their RTC, The Gators have been on the rise.
Menlo College just won the Mens NCWA Team title crowning several Champs in the process. Menlo also fields one of the best women’s college wrestling programs in the nation every year.
We are fortunate to have 3 elite wrestling institutions within a short distance that provide year round opportunities for wrestlers to develop - Our job is, and will always be, to support our young wrestlers in taking advantage of all that is offered to develop them for the mat AND beyond.
