Why We Wrestle…

Wrestling builds grit, discipline, resilience and perseverance; values that serve us far beyond the mat - into our careers and their personal lives. Our goal will always be to provide opportunities to grow and develop them both on and off the mat

Studies on grit and perseverance in Fortune 500 companies—often drawing on the research of psychologist Angela Duckworth—consistently reveal that grit outperforms IQ and innate talent as a predictor of long-term success.

We are lucky to have 3 NCAA wrestling programs a short drive away. One of the BEST Division 1 programs in the country at Stanford University that boasts a top 6 Team finish at last years NCAA championships, the highest finish in their programs history… and they are right in our backyard!

San Francisco St has been a consistent presence on the NCAA Division 2 National scene since the 1950’s! With the growth and development of their RTC, The Gators have been on the rise.

Menlo College just won the Mens NCWA Team title crowning several Champs in the process, as they transition to NCAA Div 2 status. Menlo also fields one of the best women’s college wrestling programs in the nation every year.

We are fortunate to have 3 elite wrestling institutions within a short distance that provide year round opportunities for wrestlers to develop - Our job is, and will always be, to support our young wrestlers in taking advantage of all that is offered to develop them for the mat AND beyond.
